From wildfires and other regularly occuring natural disasters to the coronavirus pandemic, deploying crisis communications strategies in real time has been part of my career journey. While you can never fully plan for a crisis, I’ve learned that preparing an integrated communications strategy and action plan that accounts for anticipated scenarios is key in successfully managing a crisis when it occurs.
